Rajeev has an overall work experience of 24 years across a wide spectrum of organizations. His career has been a blend of work for process driven corporates like Britannia : the Indian JV partner of Groupe Danone (one of the world’s leading food companies) and General Mills (a Fortune 500 company), productivity consulting in his formative 3 years, entrepreneurial family driven enterprises for last 6 years. In between, he went entrepreneurial for 3 years forming a successful service business that continues to run. He has worked across various domains like process improvements, production planning, quality, vendor development, supply chain, systems, business excellence etc. His experience as a professional practitioner spans industries in FMCG space like Food and Agro based products, Luxury, Facility management etc. He has worked in both B2C as well as B2B space.

Rajeev has especially lead companies in B2B space to re-craft their business strategies based on sharp business insights and synergy of entire operations thus often converting a sluggish organization into a well oiled machine. Some of these companies typically have a huge portfolio of SKUs with a high rate of new product launches every year. Hence business / market / product insight based innovation has been a particular focus area.

Further, the identification of key customers, in-depth & cross-spectrum understanding of their businesses, being able to position your own proposition as a driver to help your customers grow their businesses is a critical differentiator in B2B space. Rajeev has been instrumental in leading such insight led business growth leading the businesses to evolve towards being B2B2C instead of just B2B. He has also helped companies expand their footprint through the franchisee route in a short span of time.

Through out his career, Rajeev has been a process centric professional. His process design expertise has helped a lot of companies gain visibility and control of their operations by through design of sharp lean processes. He has successfully helped companies align their energies and efforts on vital lead Indicators through optimal processes designed around their Key performance indices. Rajeev played the lead role in transforming General Mills India’s Semiya (Vermicelli) business, which was on the verge of winding up due to losses into a successful healthy entity. He worked on many projects as a team leader while at General Mills and led diverse cross-functional teams for launching new products in India.

At General Mills, Rajeev also led company-wide programs on productivity enhancement. Under his leadership, India won the top place for best productivity improvements: envisaged and delivered, internationally. He won the coveted Champions’ award for the same.

Rajeev is a people person focusing on motivation & peer leadership beyond just immediate teams. He is equally at home on the shop floor as when he is presenting or discussing business strategies or process improvement projects at the highest echelons of companies.

Rajeev is a Mechanical Engineer from I.I.T. Roorkee and a postgraduate in Industrial Engineering and Systems – President Gold medal awardee for being the top ranker in his batch. He is a Six-Sigma black belt certified practitioner. He is happily married for last 21 years and has a 20-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. His wife is a professor of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior in a top management institute in Mumbai.
