Ash Ritu is a marketing leader and growth strategist with 20 years experience in FMCG, Media, Automotive, Services, Real estate, Retail and Digital across Indian and global conglomerates from Unilever, 21st Century Fox, WPP, Viacom18, and Interpublic Group that scale from $10 Mn to $4bln with businesses spanning across the Indian sub-continent, South East Asia, Latin America, EMEA and beyond.

Rita’s leadership roles across consulting and client sides, included business planning, growth marketing, brand strategy architecture definition, re-positioning and turnaround strategy, digital strategy and expansion, revenue model structuring and marketing transformation. Among her key projects was the re-positioning and re-launch of Star Plus at Star India, India’s largest media conglomerate – that led to a jump in top-line growth and catapulted back Star Plus to market leadership as India’s no.1 general entertainment television network. Ritu also co-led the redefinition and strategy of the corporate brand Star India, aimed at organisation re-design and strategic impact across business units, redefinition of multi-brand architecture, define employer brand strategy, human resource practices, processes and talent acquisition, along with reimagining digital storytelling and social media response. With two decades across leading organisations, content platforms, business units and roles, Ritu brings deep sectoral expertise in the M&E industry, and its disruption in recent times. Driven to building capability for the new-age economy, Ritu also led a transformational agenda in steering marketing excellence and re-structuring. The mandate aimed to build global best practice and drive change, was in collaboration with global thought leaders and partners engaging an indirect team of near 300 marketers across business units and locations towards an agenda for marketing transformation and restructuring.

2017 onwards, she invested in her ambition to build ambitious businesses in the digital economy by with incubators and venture capital firms. As a Consulting CMO she has helped scale-up with various early and growth stage start-ups, in new age mobility, online news, health-tech, content sharing n publishing platform, eco-farming and ed-tech businesses. Her projects include business strategy planning, revenue model reinvention, value proposition roadmap, investor pitching & fund raising, digital marketing strategy & expansion, customer acquisition strategy, and brand storytelling.

Ritu is a business leader whose belief in the power of creativity, design thinking, and storytelling has led her to win several marketing effectiveness & creativity awards in industry wide platforms – Effies, Abbys, Exchange for Media PrimeTime awards, Promax BDA, IDA, D&AD awards. She avidly explores pioneering work in areas such as platform strategy, enterprise assessment of digital capability, customer analytics and advanced segmentation, martech, customer life time value and marketing ROI, business model transformation using digital technology, lean start-up & open innovation strategy. A self-driven researcher of new culture and trends, her project at the Indian School of Business recommended a strategic framework for big data & analytics strategy towards marketing transformation in the Media & Entertainment and OTT Video industry in India. Ritu is also full-time mother, a spiritualist, a music passionate, and a writer work-in-progress. To fuel her urge for continuous learning she also concluded in 2018 a program in Digital Business Strategy & Marketing in association with Columbia Business School and a Leadership program for senior executives in Digital Transformation and Innovation from Indian School of Business.
