Aseem has over 20 years of experience in insights & consumer strategy, straddling multiple sectors, across highly respected corporations: Nielsen, Johnson & Johnson, Reckitt Benckiser, Abbott and Sony Pictures Networks. While based out of India, Aseem has handled key markets in Asia Pacific (Malaysia and Indonesia) and South Asia (Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal). He has actively worked in FMCG categories like Home Care, Personal Care, fabric care, Foods and baby-care, health-care, and media & broadcasting.

Prior to this, Aseem was heading the corporate insights and Consumer Strategy team at Sony Pictures Networks India. At Sony, he played a key role in the genre understanding and positioning of new channels – Sony Yay! and Sony Marathi, and repositioning of the OTT platform, Sony Liv. He also played a pivotal role in creating a knowledge base of TV viewers at two extreme ends of the spectrum – the rural TV viewer and the upwardly mobile urban viewer. He conceptualised and implemented SIEVE, an initiative that integrates social listening, CRM and data analytics to unearth real-time insights. As a result, the network now has the capability of getting real-time insights to their shows, which have been translated into immediate action.

This is Aseem’s second stint in consulting. He had earlier co-founded and run Autumn Leaves, an innovation consulting firm, in 2011-2013. The company employed design thinking principles to create business solutions, covering areas such as brand creation, brand (re)positioning, product ideation etc. He worked with marquee companies like Castrol, Colgate Palmolive, Danone, ITC (foods and personal care businesses), Pernod Ricard, Pidilite, Reckitt Benckiser, VST etc., and was directly involved in giving shape to new initiatives for these companies.

Aseem is passionate about the business of generating insights, and using them to create better solutions that encompass all aspects of business. He is also passionate about running and has targeted doing a Full Marathon by 2020.
