While based out of India, Balaji was the COO for a India based startup - Ivy Mobility; Ivy provides secondary sales capability to P&G India, J&J India, Adani Wilmar India, the Bimbo Group LATAM and Iberian Peninsula, Nestle India, Friesland Campaigna
Balaji was heading the Industry Solutions Group in Cognizant Technologies where he was leading the business for Merchandising, Supply Chain solutions for CPG and Retail. He grew the business at 45% CAGR for over 6 years.
Balaji also worked with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail as the Innovation head. He integrated 1300 stores under multiple brands, warehouses, dropship vendors and 3PL vendors under an Omni Channel program that allowed customer convenience of Order Anywhere, Ship from Anywhere, Return to Anywhere with accurate and equitable rewards to Brick and Mortar stores. Balaji's foundation work enabled ABFRL to introduce endless aisle in the stores under the brand name OneWorld.
Balaji expanded his domain to Machine Learning and AI and is helping companies understand the potential of technology and its use cases and applicability to the industry
Most of the projects pertain to business transformation and Omni Channel enablement for Retailers worldwide. Balaji has consulted companies on their IT modernization and business subsuming the IT function. Balaji has also worked with CPG companies on enabling secondary sales and move to connected sales.
