Rajan Puri has over 32 years of experience in Finance, Tax, M&A, Strategy, Commercial, Legal and Technology with emphasis on good governance, robust processes and managing change. He has been on the board of companies in the capacity of an Executive Director and as a group CFO/ CFO.

In the past he has worked with leading corporations including MNC’s in India and abroad during their high growth phase. He has spent 5 years working with PE’s funded Start-ups, 15 years with M&E companies, 8 years with FMCG and 2 years with Packaging. He is a result-oriented team player with strong analytical skills with commercial acumen. He has been part of core leadership of large corporates for the last over 20 years.

He has successfully delivered in:

• Designing & executing growth strategies in fast moving business environments

• Introducing and managing change to enhance operating efficiencies, improved financial and better risk management

• M&As that required integration of large corporates across diverse domains

• Negotiating with Government of Singapore for fiscal benefits for relocating Star Group HQ from Hongkong to Singapore and Green fields plant with Karnataka Government, India

• Defined and implemented key technology initiatives including multiple implementations of ERP’s

He is in strategy consulting since last two years and has successfully helped clients in strengthening their processes including technology, reduction in operating cost resulting in substantial increase in Revenue and profitability.

In his last client facing role he has helped build the with Travel start-up Goomo.com from ground zero to a formidable player in the B2C, B2B2C and B2B by leading Finance, M&A, Strategy and HR functions. Prior to this he has worked with Mahindra group and led the M&E vertical for them. Before this he was the Group CFO for The Walt Disney India including UTV and led the M&A and integration of UTV with The Walt Disney India. Before this he has worked with Star TV Indonesia and India and as Group CFO / Head Finance and before this with TATA AIG Life Insurance as CFO and PepsiCo India as South Finance Controller.
